Deborah Porterfield, owner of A Touch of Class Jewelers, has strong ties to the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to starting her online jewelry store in 2009, Deborah specialized in sales and designs at jewelry stores located in Alameda, California. In 1983, she joined Dennis Burdick, one of Bay Area’s top personal jewelers and designers. As store manager at Mr. Burdick’s jewelry establishment on Alameda’s Harbor Bay Island, Deborah helped create scores of loyal customers who trusted her to take care of their most important jewelry needs.

Deborah has always been enthralled with jewelry. “I look at every piece of jewelry as a form of art. Some people look at masterpieces and are amazed. I am the same way when it comes to jewelry. Every piece of jewelry comes with a story, every piece with a history, whether it is a gold-filled locket that has been passed down from your great-aunt Bessie to an engagement ring that has just been given to you by your boyfriend. They all tell a story. I have designed items that I know will live on far longer than any of us. And that is my goal—to design heirlooms for people to pass down.”

Deborah founded A Touch of Class Jewelers on the time-honored tradition of old-fashioned service. Where what matters most to the customer, matters most to the merchant. Where trust and care cemented the client relationship.
